    The journey begins with our team listening to your aspirations for the project.

    Doug and Karen reached out to Kenorah, who had just recently renovated their friends home. Kenorah met them at their newly purchased (but very outdated) townhome in White Rock, to learn about their renovation dreams. As beautiful as the ocean surroundings were, the home's interior was dark, dated and in dire need of attention. The Kenorah team reviewed their aspirations, budgetary and timeline goals, and provided a detailed proposal to help them make an informed decision. 

  2. Design 2 months, including planning

    Our collaborative design approach balances creativity and clarity for a well-defined scope of work, budget and schedule.

    Doug and Karen had just recently sold their family home, and had until Christmas to complete this renovation and move in. Nothing like a little bit of pressure to motivate! 

    The existing layout was not going to be changed, so the renovation was strictly cosmetic. Our Designer and Project Manager worked to present, confirm and document all design decisions and selections. The home was going to be transformed to a "coastal contemporary" beach style, so the design team researched and provided the materials and finishes that not only aligned with the budget, but also would reflect their personal style. 

  3. Plan

    Disciplined planning secures all required approvals and permits, lines up the resources and establishes the Fixed Price, Fixed Schedule.

    During the planning phase, every single decision was made, and documented and quotes obtained. The Project Manager was involved in inspecting the home ahead of time to identify any risks or issues that could arise during construction. The trades were also brought in to tour the home to assess the existing conditions, and ensure their quotes were comprehensive and accurately reflected the unique conditions of this home, as each home and each project is unique. 


    The Project Manager also worked with the strata council to ensure site access, debris removal and hours of operations were in compliance with the regulations. 


  4. Construct 3 Months

    With the decisions made ahead of time, the construction phase is straight forward and thankfully absent of surprises. 

    With all the trades lined up and scheduled ahead of time, the construction unfolded as planned. Doug and Karen were kept informed of the site activities through our online Project Management system, as well as weekly site meetings. 

  5. Complete 1 week

    All our renovations come with a full 2-year warranty.

    True to the plan, the renovation was completed in time for Christmas, and was professionally cleaned and prepared before they moved in.
